Guangzhou Airport Terminal 2

Opened in 2018, Guangzhou Airport Terminal 2 grants to Guangzhou Airport the capacity to handle over 80 million passengers annually.

Terminal 2 opened to serve China Southern carrier and its partners, since Guangzhou Airport is it main hub.

As well as Guangzhou Airport Terminal 1, Terminal 2 serves both international and domestic flights.

Levels

Guangzhou Airport Terminal 2 consists of four different levels:

Basement level

Subway Station.

First level

Baggage claim area.

Second level

This level is dedicated to both international arrivals and domestic arrivals and departures.

Third level

Domestic and international check-in halls.

Fourth level

International departures. Please note that the North Concourse is located here. 

Transfer between terminals

Guangzhou Airport Terminal 2 is connected to Terminal 1 by the inter-terminal shuttle (Airport Express).

Departures are done at Door 10 (Terminal 1) and Door 42 (Terminal 2).

Service hours: The shuttle buses are available 24 hours 7 days a week. During peak hours (From 06:00 am – 08:00 am to 03:00 pm – 06:00 pm) every 5 minutes, and during off-peak hours (From 08:00 am – 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm – 11:00 pm) every 10 minutes. The service is also available at late-night (From 11:00 pm to 06:00 am) every 15 minutes.

By Metro it is also possible to transfer between terminals.

- Terminal 1: Airport South Station
- Terminal 2: Airport North Station.

Please note that the trip by metro between terminals is for free.
