Guangzhou Airport Metro

Guangzhou International Airport Terminals have Subway Stations on its basement, Airport South Station and Airport North Station, which leads passengers to transfer from Guangzhou Airport to downtown.

From both Airport South Station and Airport North Station you can take Metro Line no.3, to Panyu Square – West Tiyu Road – Tianhe Coach Terminal, and to Panyu Square – West Tiyu Road – Airport North Station

Routes

Board line no.3 metro at both Airport North and Airport South stations and take off at the convenient station.

Metro Line 3

Metro Line 3 is identified with the orange colour. It has two possible routes: 

Panyu Square – West Tiyu Road – Tianhe Coach Terminal

Panyu Square – West Tiyu Road – Airport North Station

First route has the following stops:

Panyu Square, Shiqiao, Hanxi Changlong, Dashi, Xiajiao, Lijiao, Datang, Kecun, Canton Tower, Zhujiang New Town, Tiyu West Road, Shipaiqiao, Gangding, South China Normal University, Wushan and Tianhe Coach Terminal.

Second route has the following stops:

West Tiyu Road, Linhe West, East Railway Station, Yantang, Meihuayuan, Jingxi Nanfang Hospital, Tonghe, Yongtai, Baiyun Avenue North, Jiahewanggang, Longgui, Renhe, Gaozeng, Airport South and Airport North.

Panyu Sqaure - Tianhe Coach Terminal.

Weekdays:

07:30 am - 10:00 am, 04:30 pm - 07:45 pm: Every 2-3 minutes.
06:10 am - 07:30 am, 10:00 am - 04:30 pm, 07:45 pm - 10:00 pm: Every 3 minutes.
10:00 pm - 11:30 pm: Every 6 minutes.

Weekends:

07:45 am to 08:00 pm: Every 3 minutes.

Tiyu West Road - Airport North

Weekdays:

07:15 am - 09:00 am, 04:00 pm - 06:45 pm: Every 4 minutes.
06:10 am - 07:15 am, 09:00 am - 04:00 pm, 06:45 pm - 09:15 pm: Every 5 minutes.
09:15 pm - 11:30 pm: Every 6 minutes.

Weekends:

07:30 am to 06:45 pm: Every 4 minutes.
06:10 am - 07:30 am, 06:45 pm - 09:15 pm: Every 5 minutes.
09:15 pm - 11:00 pm: Every 6 minutes.

Connection to other metro lines

On the other hand, metro line no.3 has connection with line no.2 and line no.1.

Connection with line no.2 can be done at Jiahewanggang to get to Guangzhou Railway Station, while connection with line no.1 is done at Tiyu Xilu stop to get to Guangzhou East Railway Station.

Line no.2 has a single direction: Jiahewanggang – Railway Station – South Railway Station.

Color: Blue.

Stops: Jiahewanggang, Huangbian, Jiangxia, Xiaogang, Baiyun Culture Square, Baiyun Park, Feixiang Park, Sanyuanli, Railway Station, Yuexiu Park, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Gongyuanqian, Haizhu Square, The 2nd Worker’s Cultural Palace, Jiangnan West, Changgang, Jiangtai Road, Dongxiao South, Nanzhou, Luoxi, Nanpu, Huijiang, Shibi, South Railway Station.

Opening hours: 7:30 am to 09:30 pm, every 3 minutes.

Line no.1 has also a single direction: Guangzhou East Railway Station – Xilang

Color: Yellow.

Stops: East Railway Station, Tianhe Sports Center, Tiyu West Road, Yangji, Dongshankou, Martyr’s Cementery, Peasant Movement Institute, Gongyuanqian, Ximenkou, Chen Clan Academy, Changshou Road, Huangsha, Fangcun, Huadiwan, Kengkou, Xilang.

Opening hours: From 06:30 am to 10:55 pm (Weekdays), from 11:00 am to 10:55 pm (Weekends), several frecuencies.

Location

Take the metro at the basement level of both terminals of Guangzhou International Airport (Airport South and Airport North stations).

Fares

Fares will be according to the distance. Generally, prices are between RMB 2 and 7.

Where do I buy my ticket?

You can purchase your ticket at the booths in Airport South Station and Airport North Station.

Please note that the machines do not accept large quantities of money nor give exchange, so be ready to pay with the exact amount.
