Guangzhou Airport Train

There is no direct connection by railway between Guangzhou Airport and Guangzhou Railway Station, since it is located 32 kilometres from the Airport.

To get there, you have the following means of transport:

Airport Express

By taking Airport Express Route 1 you’ll be able to reach directly Guangzhou Railway Station by bus.

Just ride it from the Airport, make sure to take the route no. 1, and take off at Guangzhou Railway Station (Aviation Ticket Office), and then walk 5 minutes till you reach Guangzhou Railway Station, as it is 160 m away from the Aviation Ticket Office.

Stops: Baiyun International Airport, North Gate of Former Airport, HNA Hotel Central Guangzhou, BianjianZhan, Aviation Ticket Office (Guangzhou Railway Station).

The ride will take you about 45 minutes.

Opening hours: From 7:00 am to the schedule of the last flight, every 20 minutes.

Location

Find Airport Express buses at the Bus Station at Arrivals Hall B area of Terminal 1 and outside Terminal 2.

Fares

Fares are about RMB 15 / 17 / 18. Please note that they’re established according to your destination.

Where do I buy my ticket?

You can buy your ticket at Air-ticket Office Station, located at the Bus Station at Arrivals Hall B.

Taxi

Taxi may be the easiest way to get to Guangzhou Railway Station if you’re not familiarized with buses.

The trip is about 45 minutes.

Location

Ride a taxi outside the Terminal Building at the taxi lines.

Fares

An approximate fare is RMB 100.

Metro

On the other hand, you can take the subway.

Since Guangzhou Airport has a Subway Station on its basement, Airport South Station (Terminal 1), and Airport North Station (Terminal 2), it comes to be one of the best ways to reach Guangzhou East Railway Station. 

To get there, first you need to take line no.3 to Tianhe Coach Terminal, which has the following stops:

Panyu Square, Shiqiao, Hanxi Changlong, Dashi, Xiajiao, Lijiao, Datang, Kecun, Canton Tower, Zhujiang New Town and Tiyu West Road.

The trip is about 33 minutes.

Schedule

Weekdays:

07:30 am - 10:00 am, 04:30 pm - 07:45 pm: Every 2-3 minutes.
06:10 am - 07:30 am, 10:00 am - 04:30 pm, 07:45 pm - 10:00 pm: Every 3 minutes.
10:00 pm - 11:30 pm: Every 6 minutes.

Weekends:

07:45 am to 08:00 pm: Every 3 minutes.

Then, you need to take off at Tiyu West Road and board line no.2 to Guangzhou Railway Station at Jiahewanggang. The trip is about 20 minutes.

Line no.2 (blue) has the following stops:

Jiahewanggang, Huangbian, Jiangxia, Xiaogang, Baiyun Culture Square, Baiyun Park, Feixiang Park, Sanyuanli and Railway Station.

Then finally, take off at Railway Station and now you’ll be at Guangzhou Railway Station.

Opening hours: 7:30 am to 09:30 pm, every 3 minutes.

Total trip time is 1h 7 min.

Location

Take the metro at the basement level of both terminals at Guangzhou International Airport: Airport South Station (Terminal 1) and Airport North Station (Terminal 2).

Fares

Fares will be according to the distance.

Generally, prices are between RMB 2 and 7.
