Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) now operates with three passenger terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the newly opened Terminal 3. Together, they form one of China’s largest and most advanced airport complexes, designed to handle over 100 million passengers annually.
Terminal 1
- Flights: Primarily domestic flights.
- Airlines: Air China, Shenzhen Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and other national carriers.
- Facilities: Restaurants, banks, left-luggage counters, medical services, business lounges, and free Wi-Fi.
Terminal 2
- Flights: Both domestic and international flights.
- Airlines: China Southern Airlines and its partners, along with other international airlines like Singapore Airlines and Korean Air.
- Facilities: A wide range of dining and retail outlets, banks, left-luggage, medical facilities, free Wi-Fi, and a large integrated ground-transport center.
Terminal 3
- Opened on October 2025
- Flights: Initially handling selected international long-haul and regional flights, with phased transfer of additional airlines through 2026.
- Airlines: China Eastern Airlines launched operations at Terminal 3 as the inaugural carrier, with other airlines scheduled to relocate progressively during 2025–2026 under the airport’s phased transition plan.
- Facilities: A modern, energy-efficient design with advanced biometric security and boarding systems, smart check-in zones, automated baggage handling, and expanded retail and dining space.
All three terminals are interconnected by Metro Line 3, airport shuttle buses, and a unified taxi and rideshare system, ensuring smooth transfers for passengers across the entire airport complex.

About Guangzhou
Guangzhou, also known as Canton, is the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China and a key hub in the Pearl River Delta. With a history spanning over 2,200 years, it was a major terminus of the Maritime Silk Road and remains an important gateway for trade and culture.
